Hey there!
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Diane Marie and I am the founder of Conscious Coaching & Consulting. In short, I am a conflict resolution specialist, coach, consultant, mediator, educator, professor, guest speaker, and blogger. Whew! I do a lot, but I like to define and describe my role as a conscious coach.
“What is a conscious coach?”
I’m glad you asked! A conscious coach is a coach that works on shifting the way you think. I wholeheartedly believe that before we can make any changes for ourselves in the physical sense, we must first begin with our mindset! What does that mean? Well, my job as a conscious coach is to shift your consciousness to raise attention to your awareness. Consciousness is the state of being aware of what is going on within. When you’re aware of what is going on within yourself, you’re at a place where major changes in your life can happen. This is where I come in…
“The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.”
~Lao Tzu
I’m not that much different than you. I too have been in a place of searching for myself, trying to find my identity, a source of happiness, connection with something greater than life, not to mention finding my passion, and purpose. Although I struggled with these things for many years of my life, it was through my strong desire to wanting something more for myself and my purpose here on earth that led me to what some would call a “spiritual transformation.” It is through this transformation that I embarked on this journey of self-discovery.
I believe that we all have something in common. We all share one of the biggest obstacles in our lives towards getting where we want to go, meeting those goals that we have and being who it is that we desire to be.
“What is that obstacle?” you ask? That obstacle is ourselves. Once we’re able to push past self-sabotaging behaviors, negative thought patterns, and actions and grow from our experiences, then we begin to create an environment for success in multiple areas of our lives.
I am a self-care and self-love advocate and firmly believe that before we can be anything to anyone, we must first take care of ourselves. The most important relationship that we have, is the relationship that we have with ourselves. Self-discovery, self-growth, self-awareness is never ending and we mustn’t assume that at any point in our lives.
So, invite me on your journey towards growth and success.
Purpose & Coaching Philosophy
What drives my work is a deep belief that we can truly live our best life, once we are willing to do the work. My passion and purpose lie in coaching you to get to that place where you are in awe of yourself! I am obsessed with helping individuals, couples, professionals, organizations unleash their gifts and reach their highest potential, collectively as a group, or personally.
My coaching philosophy stresses the importance of accountability, responsibility, and empowerment. My leadership style is empowering. We all possess great potential, and I thrive on encouraging you to see you the way I already know you to be. My commitment to my clients is to empower them on their personal path to self-discovery and growth through their personal development. Personal development is definitely something that someone can tackle on their own. Yet, in my experience, there are things that exist within our psyche that we are unconscious of, thus they hinder us from getting past our challenges and making progress and growth possible.
Inside of us all lies inner peace. My coaching philosophy focuses directly on helping you find that inner peace that is central to your overall well being. I work with my clients to find the core inside of them where peace and joy lay dormant so you’re able to know who you are and find passion and purpose in your life.
Education & Experience
I use my extensive higher educational background, counseling & coaching experience, creativity, the gift of intuition, and my empowering nature to help people grow and develop. I am a Florida International University graduate with a B.A. in History and a minor in Education.
Education has always been a passion of mine. I have an M.S. in School Counseling and have been working in higher education as an advisor for the last ten years. Aside from being a lifelong student myself, my spirit has constantly been rewarded when I have worked with children. I have worked with middle and high school students, and have been a mentor to many.
“Conflict is the beginning of consciousness.” ~M. Esther Harding
I earned my doctoral degree in Conflict Resolution with a concentration in School and Organizational conflicts. I’m a conflict resolution consultant, having worked both in the U.S and internationally. As a conflict specialist, I’ve grown to appreciate the silver lining that conflict brings. Conflict ushers in the opportunity for growth, healing, and change to occur. With both my counseling and conflict resolution studies background, I combine the two to offer my clients a unique perspective and approach towards dealing with intrapersonal, interpersonal, and group conflict.
